Regular Season Round 23: Mornar - Derby 74-94

Everything went according to plan in Bar where thirteenth rankedDerby (8-15) outscored bottom-ranked Mornar (1-23) 94-74 on Saturday. Derby dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mornar 's 30. They outrebounded Mornar 47-33 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was center Zoran Nikolic (212-1996) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American point guard Erick Neal (178-1995, college: UT Arlington) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Neal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Derby players scored in double figures. American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian point guard Roko Rogic (187-1992) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Derby moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Split and Borac. Mornar lost seventeenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games.
